Wave is the gripping tale of Deraniyagala’s amazing survival story in Sri Lanka on December 26, 2004 when she lost her parents, her husband, and her two sons in the tsunami. It’s not only a page-turner, but also a tear-jerker.

We’re listening to…

Mrs. Cold by Kings of Convenience

Kings of Convenience is an indie folk-pop duo from Bergen, Norway. The song might not be new, but it makes for a perfect afternoon jam.

The History Channel’s Vikings

The History Channel’s original series Vikings is representative of the high quality programming for which the network is becoming more and more widely known. The show doesn’t star any well-known actors, but it’s beautifully shot and scripted. Plus, it’s historically accurate. We were so captivated by episode 1 that we went looking for more days later, and were delighted to discover that we could watch episode 2 prior to its scheduled air date through History on Demand.
