A BANK RUN IN THE USA

On December 11, 1930: The Bank of the United States, founded in 1913 by Joseph S. Marcus, was closed by the directors after a bank run at the Southern Boulevard branch in The Bronx a day earlier. This bank run is said to have started the collapse of banking during the Great Depression.
