SAY CHEESE

On May 11, 1949: The first Polaroid instant camera sold for $89.95 in New York City. It wasn’t until April of 1972 that the wildly popular, SX-70 model was introduced.

 

GREASE IS (STILL) THE WORD

On May 11, 1994: The Broadway revival of Grease opened at the Eugene O’Neill Theater for 1,505 performances. The production garnered three Tony Award nominations and featured such notable cast members as Brooke Shields, Rosie O’Donnell, Megan Mullally, and Billy Porter.
