JILL CLAYBURGH

On April 30, 1944: Emmy and Oscar Award nominated actress, Jill Clayburgh was born in New York City. Many will recognize Clayburgh from her final film performance, playing Kristen Wiig’s character’s mother in the smash hit, Bridesmaids. Clayburgh passed away in 2010 after a long battle with Leukemia.

On April 30, 1789: On the balcony of Federal Hall in the then U.S. capital, New York City, George Washington was sworn in as the first President of the United States of America.

BURT YOUNG

On April 30, 1940: Actor Burt Young, real name Gerald Tommaso DeLouise, was born in Queens. Young is best known for his role in the Rocky film series, portraying Sylvester Stalone’s brother-in-law and best friend Paulie. This performance earned him an Academy Award nomination.
