On May 19, 1941: Novelist, screenwriter, and director Nora Ephron was born. She has been nominated three times for the Academy Award for Best Writing for an Original Screenplay. She is the author of a number of romantic comedies such as When Harry Met Sally…, Sleepless in Seattle, and Julie & Julia. Ephron passed away in 2012.
