EAST VS. WEST

On January 22, 1994: At the 45th NHL All-Star Game, the East beat the West with a score of 9-8 at Madison Square Garden. This luck was passed on to MSG’s home team, the New York Rangers, who went on to win the Stanley Cup in the 1993-1994 season.

BOEING 747

On January 22, 1970: The first commercial Boeing 747 flight took off from New York to London. Pan American World Airways introduced the aircraft and it reached London in six hours. Today, the 747 is primarily used by British Airways, Lufthansa, KLM, and United Airlines.

LEONARDO, DA MAN

On January 22, 2003: The Metropolitan Museum of Art opened the “Leonardo da Vinci, Master Draftsman” exhibit. This exhibit showcased his drawings and manuscript notes, and shed light on his extraordinary life and career.
