On July 15, 1967: Adam Savage was born in NYC. Savage is famously known as the host of the hit Discovery Channel series MythBusters, but Savage has also worked extensively as an animator, graphic designer, and model maker in the entertainment industry. He’s worked on films such as The Matrix Reloaded and Galaxy Quest

SWEET CHARITY CLOSES

On July 15th, 1967: The musical Sweet Charity closed on Broadway after 608 performances. Directed and choreographed by Bob Fosse, the production starred Gwen Verdon, his wife at the time, in the title role. It was nominated for twelve Tony Awards though it only won one (for Fosse’s choreography).

JIM JONES

On July 15, 1976: Rapper Jim Jones was born in the Bronx and raised in Harlem. After getting his start as Cam’Ron’s hype man, Jones found fame with his premiere album On My Way to Church. Jones also regularly appeared in VH1’s Love and Hip Hop.
