Bronx Native DJ E-Stylez was born to spin. Growing up in a Guyanese family, he was first exposed to reggae, soca, calypso, chutney, along with Motown classics and even some disco. As E-Stylez grew older he became exposed to the hip-hop world through his older cousins. With all this exposure it’s not surprising he became infatuated with the art of DJing.

After getting his start at Pace University, E-Stylez was given the opportunity to learn under the industry’s best–most notably New York radio mainstays Peter Rosenberg and Cipha Sounds. He’s spun on air for Hot 97, at Bar Mitzvahs, in Latin lounges, opened for top rappers such as J. Cole and Wale and at EDM festivals. We took a ride up to the BX to check in with E-Stylez in his native environment.
