We’re buying…

iPhone 6

Much like the Pumpkin Spiced Latte, the release of the next iPhone has become all but synonymous with the arrival of fall. The iPhone 6 and 6 plus come with a bevy of new features including iOS8, Apple Pay, and larger screens. Between pre-ordering, trolling Cellular Providers and Apple Stores, and deciding on a color, screen size, and storage capacity, grab a Xanax and prepare for you anxiety levels to rise.

We’re watching…

The Maze Runner

Following on the heels of another classic-novel-gone-feature-length-film, The Giver, the adaptation of James Dashner’s The Maze Runner is now in theaters. The film features a veritable who’s who of young Hollywood “hey-it’s-that-kid-from-that-movie” talent (and the incomparable talent that is Patricia Clarkson), and with a solid Rotten Tomato score and favorable critical reviews, it looks like The Maze Runner will excel where The Giver didn’t.

We’re going to…

The Global Citizen Festival

The Global Citizens movement is comprised of people who want to play a part in ending world poverty by 2030. The festival will feature performances by Jay Z, No Doubt, Carrie Underwood, Fun., The Roots, and Tiesto. Find out how you can be a part of ending world hunger and have a great time doing it.

We’re listening to…

Gold Blooded by Wrongchilde

Wrongchilde is the solo project of Mat Devine, the former frontman of Kill Hannah. Featuring guest spots from the likes of Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance, Morgan Kibby of M83 and White Sea, and Sierra Kusterbeck of VersaEmerge, Wrongchilde’s latest album, Gold Blooded, is solid from start to finish, especially the album’s awesomely 80’s title track. If you like what you hear, catch Wrongchilde performing here in NYC at the Mercury Lounge on September 22 and at Sleep No More on September 24.
