We’re listening to…

“Baby Don’t Lie” by Gwen Stefani

The first release from Gwen Stefani’s upcoming third solo album, “Baby Don’t Lie” signals a welcome return from the platinum blonde (and seemingly age-defying) songstress and current The Voice coach. The reggae-pop vibe and undeniable hook — along with a colorful, kaleidoscope of a music video — make this an instant hit. While some might say that “Baby Don’t Lie” is a little too similar to Stefani and No Doubts earlier work, we say, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Avengers: Age of Ultron

Geeks of the world, rejoice! Following an ahead of schedule leak of the trailer (Dammit, Hydra.), Marvel Entertainment officially released the trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron, in all its dramatic, explosion-filled, nerdgasm glory. The trailer features all the familiar faces, and the much anticipated new editions to the Avengers saga, and set the Internet abuzz faster than a Tony Stark scandal. The downside? Avengers: Age of Ultron isn’t hitting theaters until May 1st, 2015.

We’re eating…

Milk Burger

Milk Burger is East Harlem’s answer to Shake Shack, and so far as we can tell, is the only burger joint we’ve encountered on Seamless that actually asks what temperature you’d like the meat — and delivers it that way — Every. Damn. Time. Their signature Milkburger comes with their own special “milk sauce,” which sounds disgusting and wrong, but is really oh so right. And that’s not to slight their other burger concoction offerings: portobello, Hawaiian, and jalapeño to name a few, and the awesome milkshakes (we recommend the Oreo). Milkburger may very well be the next big thing when it comes to NYC burgers.

We’re watching…

John Wick

Keanu Reeves is back as a man on a mission, playing the title character in the new action thriller film, John Wick, set right here in New York City. Based on positive reviews from audiences and critics alike (and a certified “fresh” rating from Rotten Tomatoes), it would seem that John Wick features The Matrix Trilogy Keanu Reeves, and not the 47 Ronin Keanu Reeves. Thank goodness.
