We’re Eating…

Chalk Point Kitchen

Restauranteur Matt Levine has done it again with his newest hot spot, Chalk Point Kitchen, with chef Joe Isidori. Chalk Point Kitchen is market-to-table, sourced right here in New York and hand selected by Isidori, which means the menu changes weekly based on what is available and in season. That being said, hurry over and order the snow peas while you can, because they could be gone in a New York Minute! This delightfully rustic space is perfect to enjoy fabulous food and sweet sips, all served by a friendly, knowledgable staff.

We’re listening to…

“All About That Bass” by Meghan Trainor

File this one under “Guilty Pleasure.” Courtesy of Meghan Trainor (and her silky smooth voice), “All About That Base” has a catchy hook and and love yourself (and all your curves) message. If Duffy, Amy Winehouse, and the Spice Girls (circa 1996) collaborated on a track, it might have sounded a little something like this.

We’re going to…

Bounce Boat

The masterminds behind Bounce Boat have obviously decided that it’s just not fair to make you choose between a dance party and a yacht party. This 210-foot yacht boasts a state-of-the-art sound system with an integrated LED light system and multiple dance floors, perfect for enjoying performances by DJs Capital Cities, Solidisco, and Brenmar. If dancing the night away while you party on the Hudson doesn’t scream “New York Summer,” then we don’t know what does.

We’re watching…

Begin Again

Written and directed by John Carney (Once), Begin Again stars Keira Knightley, Mark Ruffalo, and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine (in his big screen debut). This romantic comedy is produced by Judd Apatow (Knocked Up, Anchor Man, Bridesmaids), so it’s no surprise that the reviews are solid. Besides, who among us can’t relate to knowing what it feels like to be down on your luck in New York City at one point or another?
