SEVEN YEARS JUST STARTED

On November 20, 1952: George Axelrod’s three act play The Seven Year Itch premiered at the Fulton Theatre. The film adaptation was released in 1955, starring Tom Ewell (reprising his Broadway role)  and Marilyn Monroe.

BROADWAY’S KIT KAT KLUB

On November 20, 1966: Cabaret opened on Broadway at the Broadhurst Theatre. The production ran for over 1,000 performances and won 8 Tony awards in 1967.

BORN ON THIS DAY: PHIFE DOG

On November 20, 1970: Rapper and member of A Tribe Called Quest Malik Isaac Taylor, better known by his stage name Phife Dog, was born in St. Albans, Queens.
