On September 22, 1962: Bob Dylan performed at Carnegie Hall. Highway 51 was one of the songs he performed at the iconic music hall.

On September 22, 1964: Fiddler on the Roof opened at the Imperial Theatre. The musical was the first to surpass over 3,000 performances (3,242 in total) in its run and was the longest running broadway musical (ten years) until Grease surpassed its run.
