Camilla Webster is an artist and media creative working and living in New York City. Believing deeply in the global value of the urban people, places, things and ideas that bubble up in New York City, she banked on it as the co-founder of New York Natives in 2011. In 2014 ArtBeat was born.
Camilla has written and produced segments on art, collecting and the art market for The Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch, CBS News and Fox News. In 2003, Camilla co-produced and co-wrote the documentary Inside Baghdad for the History Channel on the art and architecture of Iraq.
As the host of Forbes Collector in 2010, she successfully relaunched the section for Forbes, covering artists from Damien Hirst to the private collections of billionaire art collectors like New Yorker Eli Broad.
“With ArtBeat we strive to lower the velvet rope on a world, that is often unapproachable for our New York Natives audience. Art is everywhere, you only have to see it,” explains Camilla. “To have a multisensory experience is the thing. As an artist in New York City I also bring the sum elements of this environment to you in my work.”
