Anjali is a travel and food writer who graduated from Hotel Institute of Management, Montreux, Switzerland. Having crisscrossed the globe from Mumbai to Manhattan, Anjali decided to call New York City home, where she regularly pounds the pavement usually munching on Gotham’s best street cart foods: gyros, dumplings, tacos and cupcakes.
From a chilled Pisco sour in Patagonia to a savory lamb tagine in a Bedouin tent in Merzouga, Anjali truly sightsees on her stomach. She has devoured alpaca steaks, guinea pigs and kudu burgers, and has eaten fish from all seven oceans. Anjali knows the difference between kefir and kaffir lime, frequently using both in her little NYC kitchen, along with 200 flavorful, aromatic spices, much to the dismay of the neighbors and the delight of her dinner guests. Respectful of her Indian background, she chose to have an arranged marriage, and has been happily sharing her dog-eared travel notes and forkfuls of food with her husband of 16 years.
