SALEM WITCHES IN NYC

On January 22, 1953: Arthur Miller’s The Crucible premiered on Broadway at the Martin Beck Theater. The production took home the Tony for Best Play, and the play has become a classic.

FOUND: MAD BOMBER

On January 22, 1957: George P. Metesky, aka the New York City Mad Bomber, was arrested in Connecticut. The Mad Bomber was charged with planting over 30 bombs throughout the city in theaters, terminals, libraries, and offices.
